Custom Built Tiny Home
Built-in: 2023/2024
Size: 272 sq. ft.
Description: A custom-built tiny home was designed to deliver comfort and convenience for two. Its 8.5’x 24’ exterior is “Board and Batten” vinyl siding, securely fastened to prevent movement during towing. Heavy gauge custom manufactured “Standing Seam” aluminum roof will last 50+ years.
Interior walls and ceiling are painted shiplap and secured with construction adhesive and nails. Gray vinyl plank flooring is very durable and cleans easily. White-washed stairs lead to the lofted 8.5’x 8’ bedroom. Tall ceilings with high windows provide for a spacious and bright open-air feel, while still being road-safe without additional permits. A 3’x3’ ceramic tile shower and full-size standard toilet are behind an opaque/frosted sliding door.
This tiny home was designed with the space to house water tanks and power for off-grid if needed. Spray foam insulation creates comfort and maintains rigid walls and roof.
The trailer is a custom-made twin axle, with a capacity of 14,000 lbs, built by Kangaroo Trailers in Hamilton, ON. It has very few km as it traveled to its current location from Hamilton and has not moved since building the tiny home on it.
